After much anxiety about what gear to take with me on a trip to Namibia, I made a decision to minimise. One camera and one focal length. I’ve had the Fujifilm X100 for about 2 years. Its an amazing little camera with epic image quality. The focal length (equivalent of 35mm) is not one that I shoot much and I’ve shied away from it. My thinking was that if this was my only camera it would force me to think differently about the images I made on the trip.
We spent the bulk of the trip on the coast between Swakopmund and Walvis Bay with only the last day in the capital, Windhoek. Swakopmund and surrounds are magnificent and highly recommended as a destination for photographers.
